Five styles, one room. If you are unsure where to start, begin with Slow Flow on a Tuesday evening — it is the gentlest doorway in.

Mysore ashtanga

Mysore ashtanga

90 min · All levels · Warm room

Self-paced traditional practice, taught one to one inside a shared room.

Arrive any time in the window and work through your own sequence. Your teacher moves around the room, adding a posture when you are ready for it. Beginners are welcome — you will be given a short sequence to start.

Slow flow

Slow flow

60 min · Beginner friendly · Warm room

Breath-led movement with long holds and plenty of time to arrive.

The best first class. Nothing is rushed, everything is offered in two or three shapes, and no one will ask you to invert anything.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa

75 min · Intermediate · Warm room

A stronger, continuous practice that builds to one peak posture.

Expect heat, a steady count and a long savasana at the end. Some experience of sun salutations is helpful.

Yin

Yin

75 min · All levels · Candlelit

Floor-based holds of three to five minutes, supported by bolsters.

Quiet, still and deeply unglamorous. Good for stiff hips, tired minds and anyone who sits at a desk all day.

Restorative

Restorative

60 min · All levels · Candlelit

Almost entirely propped. You will barely move, and that is the point.

Four or five shapes across the hour, each held with blankets and blocks. Many people fall asleep. We do not mind.

If it is your first time

  • What should I bring? Comfortable clothes and a water bottle. Mats, blocks, straps and blankets are all here.
  • Do I need to be flexible? No. That is rather like tidying up before the cleaner arrives.
  • How early should I arrive? Ten minutes for your first class, so we can show you round and hear about any injuries.
  • Can I practise while pregnant? Yes, with a word to your teacher beforehand. Slow flow and restorative suit most stages.
  • Is there parking? Two spaces at the side and free on Mill Lane after six.
